40 Days of Community
Main Teaching Theme - Spring 2008

Our Senior Minister writes ....
In 2006 we did 40 Days of Purpose. Those forty days were the start of the most fruitful period of blessing in our church since I had started ministry at Burlington 11 years previously. Following then, the momentum has not stopped and the number of commitments to Christ, baptisms, healings and transformed lives has continued to grow. We are amazed by God’s work in our lives, and in our church, and now as we celebrate the opening of our new Church Centre (22-23rd February 2008) it seems the ideal time to share in 40 Days of Community.
In 40 Days of Purpose we answered the question: What on earth am I here for? In 40 Days of Community we will answer the question: What on earth are WE here for?
For 40 Days, beginning on Sunday February 10th 2008: • Every person will be invited to follow a daily devotion • Every group will meet weekly to share around the key theme for that week • and the Entire congregation will celebrate each Sunday
In order to benefit from 40 Days of Community you must be part of a small group. If you are not part of a small group, please contact our associate minister, Heather Marsden and she will be glad to link you up.
We will kick things off with an evening together, including a hot meal, on Tuesday 5th February, 7.15 pm. Please book your place through your Small Group Leader.
I hope you’ll be part of it.
Simon,
