God’s Caring Way - A Christian Caring Course

(Developed by Waverly Abbey and compiled by Trevor J Partridge)

What is it?

A course of six active group sessions using a dvd and personal workbook in which we look at how to equip ourselves to care more effectively for our brothers and sisters in Christ
At Burlington we meet for a seventh week to review week 6 and discuss the course

What can I hope to achieve by doing the course?

  • That you will become an even more caring person
  • That you will be drawn into a closer relationship with God
  • That your Biblical grasp and understanding of Christian caring will grow
  • That you will develop closer relationships/friendships with others doing the course
  • That you will develop new skills and insights to enable you to be a more effective person when caring for others

How will this happen?

  • By engaging with the material and others during the sessions your knowledge will be reaffirmed
  • By discovering fresh ideas and a practical tool to develop your skills
  • By being challenged to grow personally in your Christian journey
  • By sharing your life experience whilst learning from others
  • By appreciating the Truth and relevance of God’s word to the circumstances of everyday life

  • Watching the dvd presentation together as a group (30 mins approx) and following along in individual work books
